Introducing ServiceCover

One of the most asked questions both from businesses buying services and those that sell services is financial protection. And that protection is here and for free now included in our ManyHands+ and Verified Pro plans.

While we are so proud of the level of professionalism and mutual respect we've seen from our clients and service sellers, we also do recognise that we are a platform of people and people aren't perfect. As more and more businesses join ManyHands the risk of delivery issues are inevitable.

It is for this very reason that we are pleased to announce the launch of ServiceCover, a financial product that protects buyers and sellers for any service delivery disputes up to the value of R50,000.

ServiceCover is included at no extra cost to anyone with a ManyHands+ or Verified Pro plan.

Every Service Pack purchased by a customer with a ManyHands+ account now has ServiceCover included for free. If there’s a serious issue with your Service Pack that your Service Pro can't resolve, we’ll help you find a similar service, depending on availability at comparable pricing. If a similar service isn’t available or you’d prefer not to rebook, we’ll give you a full refund for the amount you spent up to the value of R50,000.

If anything comes up, your Service Pro is your best point of contact; it’s likely they’ll be able to fix it. You can message them directly from your inbox to let them know what’s going on.

In order to ensure the services you bought are always fully covered make sure all communication is done using the Inbox on the ManyHands platform and all payments are made inside our platform using the payment methods provided.

Firstly, you will be happy to know that we've upped the client screening with comprehensive verification system checks for details such as name, address, government ID, company registration number and more. Now when you get a notification from a client buying your Service Pack you know they've been verified. Further more, once you accept their service booking you have access to their profile and if for whatever reason you don't think you'e a fit you have 2 days to cancel with no risk of receiving a bad rating or incurring cancelation fees.

Then when you're on the job, and you are faced with a difficult client here are a few of the ways ServiceCover protects you:

  • From clients giving feedback way beyond what was agreed;
  • Clients taking unduly long to give their feedback preventing you from delivering;
  • Trying to change the deliverables other than what was provided upfront;
  • Clients going completely quiet;
  • Trying to reverse the payment with a charge back after successful delivery.
